Updating to a New Version

Updating to a new software version of TipLink is easy! You don't need to uninstall the old one, or delete your settings.

All existing software data (unless explicitly stated otherwise) will be automatically transferred to the new version.

We do not recommend, and discourage, attempting to manually uninstall old software versions prior to updating.

This also isn't necessary, so feel free to go straight to the numbered instructions listed below.

This may damage your installation path and require a complete reinstall if not performed correctly.

Instead, use the included uninstall tool located in the install directory - %AppData%\Local\Programs\

Here's how to install a new version of TipLink:

1. Download the new version, and extract the executable (.exe) file.

2. Run the executable file.

3. Accept the EULA & Terms by clicking "I Accept". The software will now install the new version.

4. Once complete, the software will automatically launch.

Verify the version bottom-left of TipLink's sidebar menu matches the installer's name.

e.g. tiplink-desktop-1.5.0-setup.exe is equal to Version 1.5.0 (v1.5.0 in the sidebar menu).
