  1. In the Settings page, expand the "OpenShock" section under the "Device Connections" header.

  1. Go to the and login to your account.

  2. From the Account Dashboard, select "API Tokens" from the header menu.

  3. In the bottom-right corner of the page, click the large green circle with a "+" symbol inside.

  4. A modal will now appear to configure your new API key. Enter a name to remember the key by (e.g. "TipLink Desktop Key"), and ensure "No Expiry" is enabled.

  5. Click "Create".

  6. The new API key will now be displayed to you once in a new modal window. Copy the key to your clipboard exactly as it appears.

  7. Navigate back to TipLink Desktop, and paste your copied API key into the field labelled "OpenShock API Key".

  8. For the "Nickname" field, please enter a name you'd like to appear in the "History" section of the OpenShock website when triggering Actions from TipLink Desktop.

Your OpenShock account is now ready to be used with TipLink.

Adding a Shocker

Unlike PiShock, the OpenShock team provide a useful direct integration to retrieve your devices. You don't need to take any further action within TipLink to connect with OpenShock.
